Nimble Neuron Co., Ltd. has created this IP Usage Policy to guide creators on appropriate use of content based on its games.
1. Purpose
Users of any works that comprise the game, such as Nimble Neuron IP (Intellectual Property)’s world,
story, characters, monsters, images, background music, videos, etc., must adhere to the following
policies.To support and encourage creators’ independent and creative activities, we provide a fankit that can be used in a non-exclusive and limited manner, as long as this policy is followed.
2. Basic Rules
Derivative works using Nimble Neuron IP must include original creative input from the creator. Simple edits or reproductions are not permitted.
2.1 Creation Standards
Using fankit materials as-is, or with only minimal edits (e.g. color changes, filters, rearrangement) is not considered creative work.
Simply displaying fan kit images or changing only the background is also not allowed.
Works must reflect the creator’s own interpretation and expression, not just copying, repositioning, or combining existing materials.
2.2 Prohibited Activities
The following actions are prohibited. Violations may result in content removal, distribution bans, or legal action without prior notice:
Damaging the image of the game or company
Infringing on others’ IP rights, portrait rights, or personal information
Including discriminatory, derogatory, or hateful content related to religion, race, or gender
Including sexually explicit or suggestive content, or content that causes sexual discomfort
Creating violent or offensive content
Producing or presenting content in a way that could be mistaken as official
Unauthorized use or imitation of official logos, names, or UI
Creating or selling counterfeit goods that resemble official merchandise
Selling or distributing 2D/3D models based on derivative works
Any other activity deemed inappropriate by the company
3. Monetization Guidelines
3.1 Examples of Allowed Non-Commercial Revenue
The following monetized activities using company IP are considered non-commercial and do not require separate approval:
Ad revenue from videos posted on free-to-access platforms (e.g. YouTube)
Basic rvenue from streaming platforms (e.g. Twitch)
Ad revenue from personal blogs (e.g. through AdSense)
Voluntary donations from fans or viewers
Other activities the company deems non-commercial and not requiring separate restrictions
3.2 Platform-Specific Monetization Rules
1) Streaming Platforms
Use of built-in monetization features like ads, subscriptions, and donations on streaming platforms like Twitch is allowed.
Creating digital content (e.g. subscriber emotes) using the IP for platform use is permitted.
However, such digital content may not be sold through third-party
2) Video Platforms
Ad and donation revenue from video platforms like YouTube is permitted.
Use of original IP (e.g. thumbnails, video clips, reviews) is allowed in a non-commercial context.
3) Blog-Based Platforms
Blogs with monetized features like AdSense may publish IP-based content and earn ad revenue under non-commercial use.
4) Virtual Reality Platforms (e.g. VRChat)
Creating and sharing avatars or creating a universe is considered non-commercial content and is allowed.
However, selling or distributing IP-based avatars or maps through third-party channels is prohibited, even if there is no profit.
5) Other Platforms
Use of IP on platforms not listed above may vary. Please consult the company in advance for clarification.
3.3 Selling Derivative Works via Third-Party Platforms
Derivative works using the company's IP may be sold through third-party platforms only if all of the following conditions are met, and total annual revenue does not exceed 20 million KRW (around 15,000 USD):
The sales platform must not require a business license (e.g. certain personal marketplace platforms)
Payment must be processed through the platform's built-in simple payment methods (e.g. card, bank transfer) and the use of business-only systems such as tax invoice issuance is not allowed
The following types of works require prior written approval from the company regardless of sales volume:
3D sculpted works such as figures, Nendoroids, silicone dolls
Any other creations the company deems to be part of high-value commercial activity
3.4 Prohibited Monetization Activities
The following activities are considered commercial or inappropriate monetization and are explicitly prohibited under company policy:
Using Nimble Neuron IP to promote third-party brands or receive commercial sponsorships
Selling derivative works on platforms that require a business license (e.g. Amazon)
Any other monetization method the company deems highly commercial or inappropriate
4. Independent Creation Program (ICP)
If you wish to commercially develop an original project based on the company’s IP (e.g. a novel, webtoon, or game), you may apply through the Independent Creation Program (ICP).
4.1 Application and Review
Submit a project (e.g. a novel, webtoon or game) proposal and receive prior approval.
Approval will not be granted if the work includes:
Excessive violence or explicit content
Distortions or damage to the core setting of the game
Serious harm to the value of the company’s IP
Any other condition the company deems inappropriate
4.2 Guidelines and Usage Scope
Approved creators will be given specific guidelines on what is allowed.
Creative reinterpretations of the world, characters, or game mechanics are allowed.
Content may not be presented in a way that appears official or uses official resources.
Use of the official logo or name is prohibited unless specifically approved in advance.
4.3 Monetization and Disclosure Requirements
Approved ICP projects may exceed 20 million KRW in annual revenue.
If annual revenue exceeds 200 million KRW, a separate licensing agreement must be signed.
All commercially distributed ICP works must clearly include the following notice in all publishing and distribution channels (e.g. publisher, studio):
“This work is a derivative creation produced under the Eternal Return Independent Creation Program (ICP). It is not affiliated with or officially supported by Nimble Neuron.”
5. Dispute Responsibility and Compensation
If a user becomes involved in a dispute with another user or a third party, the company will not intervene and bears no legal responsibility.
If the company incurs damage or costs as a result of a user's actions, the user may be held liable for compensation.
