- Cobalt Protocol
- This is not a traditional squad-based survival match but a 4v4 brawl mode.
- Each team starts with 40 Life Points. You can reduce the opposing team's Life Points by killing test subjects, occupying Power Beacons for a set time, or taking down Gamma. The team that brings the opponent's Life Points to zero first wins.
- At the start of each phase, you can choose an Infusion, a unique trait system exclusive to Cobalt Protocol, to enhance your character.
- The Deploying Loop in each team's Control Room becomes available starting Phase 2. When used, it will randomly teleport you to one of two preset locations near the enemy base.
- Phase timers are displayed at the top of the screen.
- Win consecutive fights, capture the central Power Beacons, and take down powerful bosses to secure victory.
- After the match begins, each team can select any character they wish to play.
- You can choose the same character as someone on the opposing team, but you won't be able to see which characters they’ve picked.
- Select one Core Infusion before entering the game.
- Unlike Lumia Island, there’s no looting or crafting in this mode. Instead, you'll select your gear and a tactical skill right at the start.
- You can freely choose one piece of equipment for each of the five gear slots. Each option includes a brief description of its special and additional stats.
- For your tactical skill, you’ll choose 1 from a set of 2 fixed options and 4 random ones.
- You won’t be able to obtain items from killing enemies or wild animals. Instead, you’ll earn Credits by taking down other test subjects or map objectives. When you respawn, you can use Credits at the Synthesizer in your team’s Control Room to purchase gear supplies.
- Additional mythic equipment becomes available starting in Phase 3.
- There’s also the Infusion system, which lets you select passive abilities.
- You’ll choose 1 Infusion at the start of each Phase from Phase 1 through 3.
- Infusions do not cost Credits.
- Infusions come in various rarities and are presented first based on your character.
- Once chosen, an Infusion cannot be changed, so make your selection carefully.
